Few days ago my friend Assia asked me to participate to a challenge : \u201csublime tes fruits – sublime your fruits\u201d. The idea behind was to highlight the summer fruits. So I decided to make my favorite cake : \u201cblueberry, almond and lemon cake\u201d from \u201csimple\u201d Ottolenghi\u2019s cookbook.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cake is one of the best I\u2019ve baked, it\u2019s a wonderful cake. There is no surprise, it\u2019s an Ottolenghi creation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With blueberries in season, it\u2019s the perfect time to make this delicious cake. It\u2019s light, moist, with a bright lemon flavour and the bursting blueberry in every bite. It\u2019s just addictive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The icing here is a must as it adds that intense zingy but sweet lemon flavour, which takes the cake to another level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u201cblueberry, almond & lemon cake\u201d is perfect for breakfast or an afternoon tea. It can be stored in airtight container for up to 3 days, at room temperature. But let me just clarify something, every time I make this cake, it disappears within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
